DubsTF, while it might be an interesting article, I feel that the Xbox 360's failure rate has been better documented elsewhere in the past. And as the CNET article says:
"This was a self-selecting survey, so it doesn't represent a random sample of console owners. It's likely that people whose consoles have had problems are more motivated to fill out the survey, but the results are still interesting when you compare the Xbox 360 to its competitors."
These are the primary reasons I chose to overlook the story.
It's not a new concept in the UK Indrema. Sony did use a similar marketing approach early in the PS3's lifecycle. I've added a little bit to the story to make that clear.
This is the second time you've amended an article based on a question I've had. Thanks. I hope you don't mind, but I try not to reply to any of your responses so as not to make you look partisan, since I occasionally use this site as my opinion outlet.

I've added a sentence to the story - the new model will offer no improvement in terms of resolution
We've asked Nintendo and will update the story if we hear back from the company
Sales of next-generation game consoles continue to climb in China, though entirely via illegal imports as there has been a ban on consoles since 2000: http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/941880/chinas_video_game_indus...
