Wow. Kim_Naroz. You really are militant!
That the other charaters will beavailable via DLC is pretty much a given. But by writing your post are you trying to persuade Xbox 360 owners away from the PS3 version? Then going into a rant on why YOU think one version is superior to the other despite NOT having played it? Do you really think your post will make the slightest bit of difference?
It's okay to have a favourite console, just keep the passion in check!
Xbox Live is a robust and proven service. However Ive always felt like spitting feathers when it comes to paying the high cost of a yearly subscription. If Sony raise the game of the PSN, I can see a time when multi-console owners decide not to renew their subscription to Live.
Markajaw. Its not a problem with the PSN network - being a multi-console owner i know it works fine.
The problem is that Konami chose not to use the PSN servers.
These problems all stem from Konami's greed to get customer details.
They rejected the use of the many Sony servers, the Sony SDK etc which all allow a proven working online gaming system.
Instead gamers have to use their PSN ID as well as TWO different Konami IDs!
Gamers have to spend time creating accounts on a PC if they want to play MGSOnline on the PS3!
Konami servers are overloaded and slow.
They made the customer experience for the PlayStation 3 user when it wasnt necessary.
What struck me about the Microsoft presentation (apart from the moments cringe-worthyness) is that most of their 'new' products are imitations of other stuff. Whilst nothing is ever truly new in this industry, it demonstrated that Microsoft dont have a vision of their own. Their vision is get the hardcore, get the casual gamer, and do it by following the example of others but by outspending. Although the 1 vs 100 quiz is the only exception. People at home joining in with a quiz on the TV may be the future....
Sony's delay in launching in-game XMB & Trophies meant the hardcore migrated to the 360. Sony need to give their programming team a kick up the arse because multi-console owners are choosing 360 version of multi-platform games, and they seem stuck like a rabbit looking in headlights.
Tomb Raider Underworld producer Eric Lindstrom talks about Lara Croft’s essential personality traits, and why they’ve helped her survive all these years.
